Cactus, Succulents and Indoor plants are a wild hit during this COVID-19 pandemic. That’s because plants brings in some sense of life and outdoors into our homes.
The Plants’ health benefits lie in their ability TO IMPROVE OUR MENTAL STATE.
While plants provide several psychological benefits,
such as stress relief, we should not purchase them as the main air purification tool for stuffy areas in our house.
If air quality is a concern, it is best to address the cause of pollution
first while ensuring adequate ventilation in our homes.
Recent studies have shown that reducing volatile organic compounds
(VOCs) affecting air quality would require about 10 plants per square
foot. That’s quite a lot of plants, but this recent information should not stop us from collecting plants and adding them to our homes.
