4th Week Summary – COVID-19 in Bulacan: April 1 to April 7
April 1, 2020 – At the start of the 4th week Bulacan COVID-19 battle, there are 33 confirmed cases in Bulacan with 336 Active Patient Under Investigation (PUI). The death toll is still the same at 12.
- PhilHealth to cover expenses of coronavirus patients until April 14
April 2, 2020 – Bulacan PHO reported a total of 36 confirmed cases in the province. The death toll is still the same at 12.
- DSWD: P100-billion subsidy ready for distribution to 18 million poor families
- Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) suspended the deployment of doctors and nurses while the country is in a state of national emergency.
April 4, 2020 – The Provincial Government of Bulacan designated the newly built extension building of the Bulacan Medical Center (BMC) as the centralized quarantine facility in the province.
April 5, 2020 – Bulacan PHO reported a total of 39 confirmed cases in the province. The death toll is still the same at 12.

April 1, 2020 – 33 COVID Cases & 12 Deaths
The 4th week starts with Bulacan Provincial Health Office reporting a total of 33 confirmed cases in the province with 336 Active Patient Under Investigation (PUI). The death toll is still the same at 12.
April 2, 2020 – 36 COVID Cases & 12 Deaths
Bulacan Provincial Health Office reported a total of 36 confirmed cases in the province. The death toll is still the same at 12.
April 3, 2020 – 36 COVID Cases & 12 Deaths (No Changes)
April 4, 2020 – 38 COVID Cases & 12 Deaths
Bulacan Provincial Health Office reported a total of 38 confirmed cases in the province. The death toll is still the same at 12.
April 5, 2020 – 39 COVID Cases & 12 Deaths
Bulacan Provincial Health Office reported a total of 39 confirmed cases in the province. The death toll is still the same at 12.
April 6, 2020 – 39 COVID Cases, 12 Deaths & 1 Recovered
The confirmed cases in the province still stand at 39. Patient 152 (previously reported also as released from Sacred Heart Hospital in Malolos) has recovered. This is the first recovery that has been reported in Bulacan. Bulacan continues to have one of the highest percentage of COVID-19 related deaths among the provinces in the Philippines.
April 7, 2020 – 46 COVID Cases, 13 Deaths & 2 Recovered
PHO reports 7 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 1 additional COVID-19 death, and 1 new recovered case (PH21). This brings a total of 2 recovered COVID-19 patients in the province. PH152 is from Baliwag while PH21 is from the City of San Jose Del Monte. The 4th week ends with 46 cases, 13 deaths, and 2 recoveries.
